Nuclear Power

The Nuclear Power committee is composed of interested people from the Board and Active members of IPPNWC. Keeping in mind our health focus and our goal of prevention of a nuclear weapons catastrophe, we have been examining the links between nuclear weapons and nuclear power. We also look at the frequently hidden health, racial and environmental implications of uranium mining, nuclear power and unsolved issues of nuclear waste whether from nuclear power or nuclear weapons. We also study and suggest sustainable energy alternatives. For those who wish to learn along with us about these issues, this is a group for you.

In this group, there is plenty of room for you to use your voice to take action on these concerns.

We are fortunate to have two experts in nuclear physics on our Scientific Advisory Board to help us. These are Dr Gordon Edwards with website: The Canadian Coalition for Nuclear Responsibility and Professor M.V. Ramana of University of B.C

No plutonium reprocessing.  New funds to renewable energy, not nuclear.
