Join the IPPNWC Student Network!

International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Canada is excited to announce the launch of our IPPNWC Student Network! 

IPPNWC Students hopes to connect students across Canada interested in and working in disarmament, peace, and health to share ideas, initiatives, and opportunities. IPPNWC Students falls under the mandate and purposes of IPPNWC — to teach, research, and address: 

  1. The health consequences of violence, armed conflict, nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction

  2. The health consequences associated with energy resources and armed conflict

  3. Methods of nonviolent conflict resolution

  4. The promotion of social justice in a sustainable world

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 14-25 years old (non-restrictive) 

  • Interested in peace, disarmament, and global issues

  • Experience in social justice initiatives

As a member of the IPPNWC Student Network, you can expect; regular meetings (either monthly or bi-monthly) to discuss initiatives across Canada concerning youth and disarmament, opportunities to connect with members of IPPNWC and notable speakers during regular talks on issues of peace, as well as being a part of a concerned and active community of youth.
