Hiring Social Media Intern!

Join IPPNWC as a Social Media Intern! Be a part of a team working towards educating and advocating for the end of nuclear weapons on the basis of health.

The Social Media Intern will monitor and create content for IPPNWC social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. They would be responsible for creating a fixed number of posts per week and actively participate on each platform such as liking and sharing relevant posts as IPPNWC. They would be responsible for creating posts on platforms such as Canva, as well as researching informative details for the post. Experience in social media and passion for topics of peace and disarmament would be assets to this role.

The Intern would work remotely for 2-3 hours/week for a length of 12 weeks at $17.50 per hour and report to IPPNWC Staff and Board of Directors.

Requirements:

- Interest and experience in social justice issues such as Peace, Global Health, Climate or others.

- Experience in social media content creation.

- Ability to work in Canada.

- Comfortability with platforms such as Canva, Zoom, Google Drive, as well as most social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok).

- Ability to work independently with oversight and direction from supervisors and recommending bodies.
